The Rosebud Cottage Bed & Breakfast, once the home of noted rose researcher, Dr. Robert E. Basye, is
located on the 50 acre grounds of Rosewood Manor in the New Tabor community of
Burleson County. The Rosebud Guest House is located 16 miles west of Bryan-College Station, Texas and 5
miles east of Caldwell, and nestled in the peaceful countryside hidden by a
woodsy entrance.
The brick
guest house is faced with a courtyard of roses and herbs, a front
breezeway, and a back patio. The charm extends throughout the three
bedrooms, two and a half bath house. It offers a king sized brass
bed, one queen antique oak bed, one single antique walnut bed and
twin English antique tester beds. A farm style kitchen, large living
room and dining area complete the accommodations. A tank stocked
with catfish, perch and crappie is available for fishing, and a
barbecue pit is nearby for use. Nature trails and pathways make
communing with Nature a relaxing pastime. A collection of colorful
chickens provides organic cackleberrie eggs for breakfast, and
succulent black berries from
the garden when in season. The owner, a locally renowned pastry chef
provides fresh pastries and baked goods each morning for your
enjoyment.
